Over on ILWS forum I have joined a Male themed swap. I always find it difficult to come up with ideas for 'Men' cards so thought this would be a perfect way to get some new ideas. Fingers crossed this year the 'men' in my life (lol) will be getting some different!

Today I am at Peterborough attending a quarterly training day with my fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. I love training days, it's great to get together with like minded people, chat, craft, share ideas, eat chocolate and best of all to swap cards! The theme of this swap was based on the mini catalogue so I chose to use the Fox & Friends stamp set and the Shimmer Paint.

I've finally learnt to crochet! My Mum taught me to knit before I was 10 but, as Mum never crocheted I never learned either. When I met my OH his Mum tried to teach me but I was hopeless. I've always had a secret desire to get the hang of it, and when I found out the craft group I attend was learning how to crochet, I thought this is it, it's now or never. Molly had the task of teaching us and she didn't have an easy time of it, especially with me! Anyway she taught us how to do the basics and having found a tutorial on you tube I can now crochet these lovely flowers. They are far from perfect, yet, but I can't stop making them so fingers crossed if practice makes perfect I'll get there soon lol. I hope to start incorporating them into my card making so watch this space!

Isn't this petal box gorgeous? It's a new template from Lauren Meader. I used Stampin' Up! Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla Card stock and my favourite stamp and wheel of the moment, Very Vintage Wheel and Vintage Vogue stamp set along with Pretty in Pink taffeta ribbon and ink.
