Sunday Stampers #9

The challenge this week was 'Party Hats'. I've done a Gothic arch (obviously lol) for a change this week. Simply done with distress inks, old paper & fired brick for the background. Timber brown StazOn was used for the stamping. I masked the main image and coloured with coloursoft pencils blended with sansodor. Stamped and cut out the winged clock image 3 times, added glitter to the wings and positioned randomly. The finishing touch was his party hat cut from red paper.

New Challenge Blog!!

For all of you who are addicted, like me, to the blog challenges there is a brand new site http://lotstodocallenges.blogspot.com/ . It is well worth a look as there will be blog candy up for grabs!! The 1st challenge is to make a project on the theme of 'From little acorns mighty oaks grow'. My attempt is an ATC which has been embossed with oak leaves (sizzix folder) then using cut n dry covered with distress inks in peeled paint and brushed corduroy. The acorn has been die cut (sizzix sizzlet) and again coloured with distress ink in brushed corduroy, aged mahogany and scattered straw then covered with 3d gloss(which doesn't show up too well in the pic :o(). This has been raised with silicone glue. The title is computer generated and coloured with scattered straw and edged with aged mahogany distress ink. The leaf brad was added as a finishing touch.

Lucious Lips

The challenge on Sunday Stampers this week was 'I'm a Laydeee', use a lady, woman or female image stamp on your project. Unusually for me this is an ATC. The background is alcohol inks, currant & eggplant, put on to silver gloss card. The image stamp is from Dimension Fourth, the swirl is from HOTP both stamped in Blazing Red StayzOn and highlighted on the lips with 3D clear gloss. Finished off with a large square gem

My 1st Design Team Member Card

I was so chuffed when I was asked to join My Time to Craft Challenge blog as a Design Team Member!! I have known for over a week but had to keep quiet until this weeks challenge was set. This is the card I made for the challenge this week which is 'quotes and sayings'. Another 'man' card, made using downloads from Cuddly Buddly for the image, background paper from Paper Cellar (men's range) and a round quote from K&Co, I also chalked behind the image to coordinate with the colour scheme. Looking forward to next weeks challenge now!

Teen Spirit Card

The challenge on DCM this week was to make something with 'teen spirit'. I love these Cuddly Buddly downloads which I think are perfect for that awkward in between age.

Arty Girlz Stars

The challenge on Arty Girlz this week was 'stars'. I needed to make another dreaded 'man' card (which I seam to have done loads of lately) for my Dad. This is a challenge in itself as he has no hobbies to speak of so he usually gets a card with a beer on it, but not this year! The papers are from Dovecraft masculine range, chipboard letters are from Brenda Pinnick and the star brads are from HOTP.

Sunday Stampers #7

The Sunday Stampers theme this week was 'Oriental'. I must admit the oriental trend has passed me by, it never held any great appeal with me. However, as I didn't take part last week (coz my meager supply of stamps didn't include a man) I thought I'd better make the effort this week. The crane stamp came with a bundle I bought from America and the Japanese character is actually a body art stamp which I combined with Ranger's fired brick and black soot Distress Ink Pads and some gold embossing powder. The overall effect looked OK, but I won't be making anymore Oriental stuff any time soon!

Tickled Pink

This weeks challenge on My Time to Craft was 'Tickled Pink'-to use pink on your project. I have done another shadow box for this one. I have used papers, chipboard alphabet (which I have glittered), chipboard embellishments all from Brenda Pinnick and Charley from Cuddly Buddly.

My New Recipe Book

The Funky Fairy Challenge this week was to make something for yourself, I thought that was a great idea and made a nice change. I like to cook, tho I am far from good at it, but at least I know what goes into the things I make unlike some of the supermarket stuff (can you tell I've been watching Jamie Oliver lol). I decided to alter a cheap note book that had plastic covers so I can keep all my recipes to hand. I have used alcohol inks, ribbon, a CB alphabet die, brads, daisy dies and some funky foam which ties in nicely with the challenge at the Scrummy Stash Cafe which was to use some funky foam on your project.

Button It

The challenge from Scrummy Stash Cafe this week was to 'button it' - to use buttons on your project. I made this little basket to store a delicious chocolate in for a friend who needed cheering up.

Cuddly Buddly Door Hangers

My friend is having triplets, and all 3 are girls!!! I was asked to make some kind of name tag to put on their cots so everyone (including her) would be able to identify each one. I came up with the idea of door hangers. I have used the new Cuddly Buddly range of stamps, which are so cute. I water coloured the image and embossed the background with a cuttlebug folder. Hope they do the trick ;o). The girls will be here in the next few weeks and I'm so excited :o))

Wot no Tilda?

Well strictly speaking it's not Tilda lol. Edwin is another one of the fat pages that I'm making for a swap on CSF. I am thoroughly enjoying making the pages and hope the recipients enjoy them too :o)

CSF Fat Book Page Challenge

Another Tilda page!! Yes I've caught the fat page and Tilda bug and as yet there is no known cure lol. This page is for the Tilda list that I have joined but I'm also entering it into the CSF challenge which for the next 2wks is 'DIY' - do something yourself on your page, could be hand write, doodle or draw. Obviously I've chosen to hand write Tilda's shopping list :o)
