The challenge at Papertake Weekly is to use a download on your project and 'Numbers' is the theme at One Stop Craft Challenge this week so this card ticks those two boxes perfectly.

Ice Cold Tilda

The challenge on Tilda & Co this week is to use only Blue & White on your project, well I couldn't give her blue hair so I hope a bit of brown is OK. It gave me the perfect opportunity to make another Christmas card, at this rate I'll have them finished before December, hooray!!

Beatle Mania

The challenge on Arty Girlz this week is "Era's". So using Katharina's FAB sketch from Papertake Weekly this week, I've chosen the swinging 60's. This is George imitating Sir Paul, fantastic isn't he, he's from the Rock n Roll download at Charmed Cards & Crafts. Oooo and I've been chosen as the featured customer over on Dottie's World too, so I'm well chuffed!

I wanna be a rock star

Another FAB George, this time from the 'Rock n Roll' set of digital downloads available from Charmed Cards & Crafts. You have just got to go and have a look at this new set it's got loads of brilliant images on including Hippie's, Rockers, Bikers, Goths, Teddy Boys etc etc etc (can you tell I'm impressed). I have done Rocker George for the challenge over on Dottie's World Blog (my 1st challenge here, but certainly not my last) which this week is to use any of the Dottie or George Downloads, choose a letter of the alphabet and include as many things on the card beginning with that letter (there's a much better explanation on the blog!). I have chosen the letter G and have included: George, guitar, green, gold, glasses, glaze, greeting (I know it's a sentiment but that doesn't start with a G lol) and gorgeous papers!

One for the Fella's

The challenge on Papertake Weekly this week is 'One for the Fella's'. Perfect theme for me to use the Sporty George digital downloads available from Charmed Cards & Crafts. Isn't rugby George fantastic, and as I'm from a town with a rugby team I think he'll come in quite useful :o)

Jeans Pocket

This stamp was one of those MUST have purchases, its so versatile! The challenge over on My Time to Craft this week is POCKETS and I couldn't wait to use my new stamp. I've made this card for a teenage girl but it could be used equally as well for a boy, minus the flower of course lol. I think my family will be getting quite a few cards using this stamp :o)

Papertake Weekly & Lots to do Challenge

I'm really into sketches at the moment so when I saw there was a sketch challenge on papertake weekly I had to have a go. I've combined the sketch challenge with the Lots to do challenge which this week is to use something from Crafty Individuals, well with such gorgeous stuff and some blog candy up for grabs it was a must :o)

Sunday Stampers #11

The theme this week on Sunday Stampers is 'A ticket to ride'-to use a stamp that features any mode of transport. I have made a fat page featuring a boy and his bike. The checked background is done on glossy card with 3 colours of alcohol ink swiped down and across. The numbers 5 & 6 are randomly stamped over the top with stazon. The boy was stamped with brown stazon and the background done using distress inks and a water spritzer on a craft sheet, this was then mounted on to brown card stock and then onto the background. I highlighted the 56 on the image with white pen added a few gems to the bottom and added an arrow hand cut from gold card.

Collage

The new challenge over on Lots to Do Challenge Blog this week is 'collage'. Well I've cheated a bit this week as I won't have a lot of time over the next few weeks! My friend has had her triplets so I'm helping out whenever possible, mainly looking after their 2yr old big sister while my friend goes backwards and forwards to the hospital. I actually made this arch a week or so ago for a swap on Lots to Do Forum but hope under the circumstances that this will still be allowed ;o). As with all my collages I just stuck on whatever took my fancy that fitted into the colour scheme!

A Matter of Time

The challenge on Lots to Do Challenge Blog this week is 'a matter of time'. I've just managed to get mine in before their new challenge is set tomorrow (Sun) phew! I've made a very simple ATC this week. All the elements are from the 'Making Cards for Men' magazine.

'Shrink to fit'

The dare at Daring Cardmakers this week was 'shrink to fit' - you are not allowed to cover more than 5x5cm of your card with paper or embellishments, the rest of your card must be left plain. Mmmm that is quite a challenge!! This is my attempt, I was going to add a greeting (which is allowed) but I quite like the simplicity of it without one, what do you think?

Sunday Stampers #10

This weeks Sunday Stampers Challenge is 'Going for Green', to use green on your project. I made a fat page with a 'child' theme which is for a swap on Lots to do Forum. Using a baby wipe I inked up a piece of card with peeled paint distress ink then embossed it with the script folder in my cuttlebug. I highlighted the raised script with olive green stayzon and mounted it onto a 4x4 piece of mount board. I stamped the boy image with olive green stayzon twice onto card and once onto stamp board. I cut around the images stamped onto card and inked the background with peeled paint distress ink. I washed over all three images with an iridescent medium and positioned them onto the base. The corners looked a bit bare so using my crop-a-dile I set three green eyelets in the two opposing corners.
