Scrummy Stash Cafe Challenge

The challenge from http://scrummystashcafe.blogspot.com/ this week is M is for Monogram, to design a project incorporating a large monogram.

I decided to try something a little different and make a 'shadow box Card', (instructions can be found at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/shadowboxcard.php). I used a Brenda Pinnick chipboard monogram and papers. I made the box in white card as per the instructions then covered the front and then the back panel with co-ordinating papers. I inked around the circle with a turquoise ink. I stuck a piece of ribbon behind the monogram and mounted it in the centre of the back panel with 3d foam pads. I punched a daisy from some paper and stuck this onto a silk pebo flower using a brad then stuck this to the top right side of the back panel. I stamped a swirl in turquoise under the monogram to 'ground' it. I tied a bow in co-ordinating ribbon and stuck this to the top left side of the front panel. I stuck some punched flowers to the top right side of the front panel and placed some clear gems in the centre of each flower. I mounted the happy birthday sticker on to card and glued this to the bottom of the front panel. I then stuck the front panel to the back panel with DS tape to finish the box.
